Traffic Scout

Traffic Scout is a traffic simulation model developed by Transport & Mobility Leuven (TML).

It supports scenario calculations of multimodal traffic flows (car, truck, bicycle) at the mesoscopic level and allows to perform selected link analysis (SLA) as post-processing.

Traffic Scout is particularly optimized for simulating local traffic flows at the city, municipality, and neighbourhood levels. It supports interactive scenario analysis, allowing users to modify traffic conditions and rapidly evaluate their effects on traffic flows.

A Traffic Scout model is configured and calibrated for a specific region using model-specific data sources and input from the client, including origin-destination matrices, cross-section and intersection counts, traffic light control schemes and OpenStreetMap.
